Oh what a NIGHT!
Moms Fit Night Out was a success on so many levels, and we want to thank everyone who came out. We are all about connecting moms at Wichita Moms Blog, so to see some of the same repeat faces at our events makes us so happy – we can’t thank you enough for the support. And we love seeing new faces too! And of course we owe a HUGE thank you to Genesis Health Clubs-Rock Road for hosting our evening.
It was a night of special mom-only time with Zumba, Fitness Bootcamp, delicious organic snacks and drinks, giveaways and shopping. There was a lot of dancing, shaking, sweating, eating, drinking, and laughing. We loved every minute!
We started off with a tour of the amazing facility, which boasts the tallest rock climbing wall in the state, a yoga and pilates studio, top of the line cardio and weight equipment, and so much more!
Then, after an organic “energy shot”, we got things moving and grooving with Devin. It was absolutely impossible not to smile in Devin’s Zumba class. The music was perfect, and the choreography was so much fun – and it really lightened the mood for a group of moms who were trying to get to know one another.
Immediately following Zumba was Bootcamp with John. Fitness Bootcamp is all the rage these days, and also pretty brutal for those of us mamas who haven’t worked out in awhile. It’s an hour of 45 second intervals of intense cardio and weight exercises. Luckily, John was a fantastic coach and kept us encouraged and motivated.
And of course we were rewarded for our hard work! We got to sample incredible organic sliders and sweet potato fries from All American Dave’s. And the chef even made us some very -needed, mom “protein shake cocktails” with Kahlua and Bailey’s. They were gone in about 4 seconds.
And then Genesis rolled out the red carpet as they treated us to discounted shopping at The Clothes Bar, gave away 3 fitness bags filled with exercise goodies, and one mom walked away with a free three month membership! Then, we spent the rest of the evening doing what we do best : chatting and getting to know one another.
It was such a fantastic night, and we can’t wait to do it again. And we are thrilled to be partnering with Genesis for something VERY exciting for moms in the new year. So make sure to stay tuned because you do NOT want to miss out!
