Bridget’s Cradles is honored to host The Wave of Light Remembrance Drive that will be held on October 15th, 2020, on Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Bereaved families can participate in this community “socially distant” candlelight vigil by driving through a quarter mile light display with an LED candle (provided to them) on their dashboard. We will light up the night together in remembrance of babies gone too soon.
The roadside light display will feature 500 “Wave of Light” poles twinkling in blue, pink, and white lights. The beautiful drive-through display will feature over 50,000 lights in memory of babies who have gone to Heaven. Each baby’s name will be read for families to hear as they drive through the rows of light and remember and celebrate their sweet baby’s life.

How Do I Register?
We ask that every car that plans to attend the Wave of Light Remembrance Drive register on our website in order to receive a confirmation email with a map, specific driving instructions, and additional details about the event. You will also be given information on how to have your baby’s name read at the event. Please register here.
Order Wave of Light T-Shirts
Wave of Light T-shirts are also available for purchase online. These shirts have been designed to be worn at any time during the year, especially during October Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness month. They are not specific to the Remembrance Drive event and can be purchased by anyone, including those who cannot attend the event on October 15th in Kechi, Kansas (e.g., live out of state, unable to come, etc). We hope these shirts will be a beacon of light and hope to remember our babies in Heaven and raise awareness about pregnancy loss. Please see our website to find more information on ordering a t-shirt.
Sponsor a Pole or Cluster of Light in Memory of a Baby
A donation to Bridget’s Cradles will allow you to sponsor a “Wave of Light” single pole or cluster (5 poles together). By sponsoring a Wave of Light pole or cluster at our Remembrance Drive in memory of your baby, we will include your baby’s name in a special section of our event program and you will receive a personalized memorial certificate.
Cluster sponsorships ($100+ donations) will also have a sign with your baby’s name in front of a light cluster and we will take a professional photo of their sign/light cluster to send to you after the event. You (and all of our Drive attendees) will be able to see their sign/light cluster as you drive through the event. We will accept light sponsorships on a first come basis until October 9th or until the clusters are all accounted for, whichever comes first.
Please see our website to find more information on ordering a T-shirt and sponsoring a pole or cluster and also for a FAQ page about the Wave of Light Remembrance Drive.
A giving opportunity will be present at the event for all attendees that feel led to comfort bereaved families through the mission work of Bridget’s Cradles.
We look forward to lighting up the night in memory of our babies in Heaven and sharing a night of hope with you.
Bridget’s Cradles is a nonprofit organization founded in Wichita, KS after Matt and Ashley Opliger’s daughter, Bridget Faith, was stillborn in October 2014. The ministry provides knitted and crocheted cradles to over 1,000 hospitals in all 50 states to hold babies who were born into Heaven during the second trimester of pregnancy.
