The Independent School Mission Statement: To provide a superior, independent, college preparatory education, serving a diverse student population in a safe, supportive community, conducive to the intellectual, emotional, and physical growth of each Independent student. |
Trinity Academy is a distinctly Christian, college prep school with 325 high school students and the recent addition of a new K-8. Though the school has outstanding fine arts, athletics and academics, the school’s vision has always been far greater: to equip young leaders to impact the world for Christ.
Since 1963, Wichita Collegiate School has been the leading college preparatory school in Wichita, serving students from age 2 through Grade 12. WCS is an exciting place where children thrive and grow, becoming tomorrow’s leaders through a diverse and caring community with passionate teachers and an inspiring curriculum.
At Camp Invention, children invent, build, question, and discover. They experience real-world problem solving and creative thinking as they transform the terrain and ecosystem of a distant exoplanet, take risks as future entrepreneurs, blast rockets and rubber chickens, and wire a circuit to create their own Spy Gadget Alarm Box! Local educators lead a week of hands-on activities that fuel children’s 21st century skills.
Thank you for your interest in Central Christian Academy (CCA) for your child’s education. As a ministry of Central Christian Church for more than 35 years, our mission is to partner with the local church and Christian families who desire both quality academics and a Christ-centered, biblically-based education for their children.
By the time a child graduates from high school, they will have spent more than 14,000 hours in a school setting being instructed and mentored by their teachers. Therefore, the choice you make regarding which school your children attends is one of critical importance, both from an academic point of view and, more importantly, in terms of spiritual development. As Jesus said, “… everyone who is fully trained will be like his/her teacher.” (Luke 6:40). The faculty and staff at CCA are carefully selected for their academic excellence and their Christ-like example.

This seven-week, therapeutic day camp will utilize an award-winning comprehensive treatment tailored to each child’s behavioral, emotional and learning difficulties. Children will have the opportunity to build friendships, improve athletic skills and maintain academic skills through the summer.
Weekly, KU Wichita ADHD STP will have an evening meeting to provide tools to parents that will extend the gains from the program to the child’s natural environment. The sessions help parents work with their children to change unacceptable behavior while improving relationships with parents and siblings.

My name is Heather Harrison. After 31 years in public education (20 yrs. teaching 6th grade
Math and Language Arts and 11 yrs. teaching 5th and 6th grade Physical Education, and many
years of coaching basketball and running), I decided it was time to try something new. My new venture is Step
It Up Tutoring and More, LLC. There are 4 branches of my venture. The first is Physical Education classes for teaching nontraditional/homeschool students (K-12 grade). I have a space at Towne West Mall 2 doors down from Dicks Sporting Goods. I will attach the information flyer. The other areas of my venture are in the developmental phase that will be up and running by the end of August 2022. The second part is private tutoring for 4th – 6th graders in academic areas. Third I will have day camps periodically throughout the school year. I will be finalizing those dates in the very near future. I will be able to accommodate approximately 15 children 3rd – 6th grade each camp. Finally, I will provide a Field Day to Go for teambuilding activity, birthday parties, family reunions, and block parties. Please contact me with any other questions you have. I tried to upload my flyer, but it said it was forbidden. Please let me know if you could help me get the information to you in another format. Thank you for your time and assistance in my new venture! Heather Harrison
