I love a good everyone-look-at-the-camera-and-smile-in-the-most-natural-way-photo as much as the next mom; there is absolutely value in having that. We will get that. But my focus is finding the in-between moments that are so much more captivating. My goal is to make images of you and your family that you look at 10 or 20 or 30 years from now and are instantly transported back to that moment in time in such a way you can almost feel the softness of your baby’s skin, the smell of his/her hair, the sound of your child’s giggle, the feeling of your partner’s embrace.
I exclusively shoot natural light which translates to many outdoor sessions where we decide on a location together based on the vision and feeling of your shoot, but also in my clients’ homes. I’m based in Wichita, KS, but am happy to work out logistics to travel to you. Just ask!

Here is my why: My journey started about 3 years ago when I switched from being a “catch all” photographer for the last 10 years to a photographer who caters towards women. For as long as I can remember I always wanted my mother to be confident and feel good about herself. You see, I grew up in a broken home, where abuse often happened and at a young age I was exposed to many things that I protect my daughters from today. One of those key factors is being put down by others. Nothing is more damaging then hearing you are not pretty enough, or smart enough, and let alone any and all emotional abuse. I remember looking at my mother’s 1980’s glamour shots, you know the ones with big fluffy bangs and feather boas, and thinking, “Wow, my mom looks so happy and beautiful.” That was before she endured many years of doubt. Her confidence just pours form those photographs. From those photos I found my why. I hope to show each and every woman that walks into my life a different feeling about themselves. Building their voice and confidence has became my everyday. With my photos I hope to show future generations that it’s okay to think highly of yourself and not to accept any doubt or pressures from others.
One of the most important things I want you to know is that when we are shooting in my studio or on-location it’s a judgement free zone. I am there to capture your beauty, your personality and everything that is uniquely you no matter what age, shape, size or race you are. My staff and I will not judge you in anyway, we are here to give you an experience of a lifetime.

I use natural light as much as possible, so your session will most likely take place outdoors, with the exception of newborns.
