Nature Hike for Women and Girls

January 8 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

| Free
************NOTE DATE CHANGE TO JANUARY 8th!!!************
What is better than a 9a hike on the first (or eighth!) day of the new year???? Being able to bring your entire FEMALE family to it! THIS HIKE IS FOR WOMEN/FEMALES OF ALL AGES. Strollers are allowed.
Maybe we will have a snowy day like the 2021 Jan 1st hike!!! (Actually now it will be held on Jan 8, 2022 due to the weather.)
No dogs allowed in the central hiking/walking path areas. You can have leashed dogs on the northern concrete trails (accessed from the Oliver St parking lots). No fee to enter & hike the park.
The majority of trails are paved; some are dirt. You can hike &/or walk as little or as many miles as you want. The trails circle around the nature center & you can return or turn around at any time you prefer.
Meet in the parking lot at 9a for a few words & a group picture. Everyone will then be sent out to hike the trail(s) of your choice.
Suggested $2 donation per hiker. A bucket will be provided for the donation.
WHKSAB hikes are not set up as guided hikes. We will provide basic info on trails. Everyone will hike on their own (within their own group) & at their own pace. We recommend you always hike with at least 1 other person. Make sure if you attend by yourself at least 1 other person knows who you are. Please have emergency contact info & necessary medical info noted on a card in your backpack.
We suggest each hiker utilize the AllTrails app during the hike & preview the trails prior to hike day.
By attending any WHKSAB hike you acknowledge & agree that you assume any inherent risks associated with hiking. All hikers should evaluate their own risk involved in hiking, be aware of your physical limitations & preview the trails prior to hike day.
