WSU Annual Candlelight Christmas Concert

Come welcome the Holiday Season with the traditional sounds of the Wichita State University Choral Department. Listen to the sounds of the Madrigal Singers, Concert Chorale, WuChoir and ShockerChoir. Under the direction of Dr. Ryan Beeken and Dr. Tom Wine this event will surely get you ready to enjoy holiday season!

Christmas Candlelight Concert at Friends University

December 1-3 at Friends University 
Generations of students, faculty and audiences have participated in the candlelight tradition on Friends University’s campus for years, but this year the production will be moved to a more spacious venue – Central Community Church. In addition to hearing the traditional renditions by the Friends University Singing Quakers and Concert Choir, concert goers will have the opportunity to hear from other groups including Falcon Chorus, Women’s Choir, Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Dance and Singing Quakers Alumni Choir. Of course, all these forces combined create a holiday spirit that will warm any heart.

Looking for a holiday tradition that is short, but very sweet? Midwest Dance Mechanix is proud to offer the Wichita community a Nutcracker experience that children of all ages can enjoy! Get swept away in the magic, beauty and grace of this holiday tradition that is perfect for your family – in person again this year! 

Spirit of the Season Free Family Holiday Concert

December 12 at Century II Music Hall

Grab your loved ones and take a sleigh ride down to Century II Convention Hall for the return of Spirit of the Season: Free Family Holiday Concert. This concert is the Wichita Symphony’s gift to the community, sponsored by our friends at Spirit AeroSystems.

Celebrate the season at this one-hour concert filled with your favorite Christmas carols and holiday hits performed by your Wichita Symphony.

Canned food donations for the Kansas Food Bank will be accepted, as well as cash donations for the Wichita Symphony’s education programs.

The Nutcracker by Ballet Wichita

December 15-17 at Century II Concert Hall

This December, Ballet Wichita will transport Wichita into a magical world of dancing dolls, mischievous mice and sparkling snowflakes with the time-honored classic, and the Holiday Event of the Season, the Nutcracker ballet!

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

December 15 at 7pm

Join KFDI and Classic Rock 104.5 for a holiday screening of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. The party starts at 5:30 p.m. with food trucks, games, props, and prizes. Costumes encouraged!
