Flora and Ulyusses Play

The play of Flora and Ulysses is based on the book by Kate DiCamillo, play adapted by John Glore. The story of a cynical girl who is dealing with her parents’ separation, clings to her dad’s comic book characters to get her through life. Flora’s mantra fromt he comic book story is: “Do not hope, instead observe”. She meets a squirrel (Ulysses) with superpowers: typing on a typewriter, picking up heavy objects, flying and gains attention in various ways. The story focuses on hope as a cynic, laughter, love and “unusual” friendships.
Need 11 cast members for the play to work. The cost is $60. Ages are 5-adults. We’ll meet from 1-3 pm Monday-Thursday and 1-1:45 on Friday with a performance at 2-3 pm at Flying Pigs Improv, 2320 E Douglas. The performance is free to the public.
Pupperty will be implemented with Ulysses and a cat named “Mr Klaus”.
