Visiting Wichita? Or New to Wichita? Here are the very best things to do and see with kids in Wichita, KS

Where to Play in Wichita

Start the morning by getting out the wiggles at one of our  favorite parks & playgrounds. Then plan to head to Sedgwick County Zoo or Tanganyika Wildlife Park, both are can’t-miss destinations for animal lovers. You could easily spend the day at either of those destinations and return home with wiped out visitors, but if you plan it right why not swing by Botanica to wind down before heading out to dinner.

Where to Explore in Wichita

We may not have mountains or beaches, but there are a surprising amount of fun areas to explore the great outdoors right here in Wichita (and just beyond). So depending on if the weather is cooperating, these are great spots to visit this spring!

Where to Eat in Wichita

Start the morning with Homegrown for brunch. We sure love Tanya’s Soup Kitchen for their spinach salad and flights of soups or Bella Luna for hummus and Mediterranean infusion. Ziggy’s would also be great for a family lunch as they have a great patio and easy peasy pizza, wings, and salads (and great summer brew). There are so many great options for dinner, a few favorites include The Belmont, George’s, Newport Grill, and Vora or young-kiddo friendly – Stearman Field Bar and Grill to watch the planes come in or Chicken N Pickle to compete in yard games while you enjoy your dinner.
