That’s why we created The Imagine Lab.
Located in Wichita, The Imagine Lab is a screen-free play and creativity space designed for children ages 0-12 to explore their interests through imaginative play, art, science, engineering, sensory experiences, and hands-on discovery.
It’s a place where kids can create, experiment, build, and get a little messy without parents having to buy the supplies, plan the activity, and clean the entire kitchen afterward.
Why We Created The Imagine Lab
As a parent, I wanted a place where kids could play in a way that felt meaningful while still being fun.
Not every child wants to spend their afternoon the same way. Some want to paint, others want to build, some want to experiment. At The Imagine Lab, children can follow their interests and make every visit different.
Kids learn best when they’re curious and can see the results of their experimentation, but many of the activities that encourage creativity and learning can be expensive, messy, or difficult to set up at home.
The Imagine Lab helps remove those barriers and gives families a place where creativity, exploration, and play can happen naturally.
What You’ll Find at The Imagine Lab
Our Open Play + Art experience is designed for children ages 0 to 12 years and allows kids to move freely throughout the space, following their interests and curiosity.
Exploration areas include:
- Sensory stations
- Interactive library and felt wall
- Construction and building zone
- STEAM wall and engineering activities
- Soft play area for little explorers
- Creative art stations
- Whiteboard and collaborative creation spaces
Open Play + Art admission also includes access to art supplies and monthly rotating hands-on activities, challenges, and discovery stations that encourage creativity, exploration, and problem-solving during every visit.
Looking for a Little More Science?
Our optional In The Lab experiments offer upgraded hands-on STEAM activities that children can complete at their own pace with support from our team when needed. Projects rotate regularly and have included slime making, play dough creation, wearable light-filtering butterfly wings, and other creative science experiences.
In The Lab upgraded activities are available for an additional fee.
More Than Open Play
Beyond Open Play + Art, we also host birthday parties, field trips, special events, instructional classes, and seasonal camps designed to encourage curiosity, confidence, and hands-on learning. Families can choose from a variety of experiences throughout the year based on their child’s interests.
