Here are the top ten reasons to bring your kids to the NBC World Series this year.

1. Meet (Potential) Future Professional Baseball Players

More than 900 Major League Baseball players have played in the NBC World Series including Albert Pujols, Alex Gordon, Jace Jung, Ryan Helsley, and many more. Your kids could have the opportunity to meet a future MLB player with 16 teams from across the country in Wichita for the tournament, and lots of opportunities for autographs.

2. Snag Tickets for Just $6

Swing by Wichita QuikTrip locations to buy special general admission tickets for only $6! They can be upgraded to reserved seats at the WSU ticket booth for just $3 more. You can also purchase regular admission tickets online here.

3. Kids are FREE When They Join the Kids Club

Kids (age 12 and under) get a free general admission ticket every day of the NBC World Series when they join the free Kids Club, presented by Scheels. Sign your kids up for free: Kids Club – NBC Baseball and pick your wristband at Scheels or the WSU Box Office.

4. Grill on the Hill

In addition to the usual game day concessions we all know and love, you can pack your own food and head to Coleman Hill (overlooking the outfield of Tyler Field) on Thursday-Sunday games. Pack a picnic, your favorite candies and snacks or bring the tailgate with you – gas grills are allowed too.

5. Don’t Forget Your Glove

Not only can you snag a seat on the hill for just $6 and BYOF (bring your own food – see numbers 2 and 4), but it’s prime-time home run catching territory.

6. Survive Baseball ‘Round the Clock

It has been eight years since Baseball ‘Round the Clock was part of the NBC, but it’s BACK in 2024! A fun family challenge for the older kids, can you survive watching 11 games in 33 hours? From random check-ins at each game, to a flurry of Midnight Madness prizes, and the memories of watching the sun come up in the middle of a baseball game, Baseball ‘Round the Clock is a unique bucket-list item right here in Wichita.

7. Satchel Paige Bobblehead & Celebration

MLB & Negro League Hall of Famer Satchel Paige played in the very first National Baseball Congress Semi-Pro Tournament in 1935, setting the stage for 90 years of players to follow his path, and showing his talents a decade before professional baseball was integrated. The first 1,000 fans on Opening Night (July 25) will get a Satchel Paige Bobblehead to celebrate his legacy, and enjoy other special celebrations throughout the night.

8. Celebrate Girl Power with the iconic Silver Bullets

In 1994, the Colorado Silver Bullets turned heads as an all-women’s professional baseball team who barstormed across the country playing against men’s teams, including minor league all-star teams, military teams, and in showcases across the world. As a celebration of the 30th anniversary of this historic team, members of the Silver Bullets will be at the NBC on July 30 for Women in Baseball Night, for autographs, pictures, and a celebration of the power of women. Perfect for the whole family, or your youth baseball or softball team!

9. Cheer on the Underdog

The song may go “root, root, root for the home team,” but what about finding your own new favorite team? Teams will travel to Wichita from all over the country to compete in the NBC World Series, bringing quirky unique team names (have you met the Seattle Studs?) and uniforms. Find your favorite and cheer them on through Championship Night.

10. End Summer 2024 with a Bang

Nothing says summer like sun, baseball and time with friends and family. Give summer 2024 one last hurrah with the NBC World Series. And what’s an end of summer celebration without fireworks? Don’t miss the fireworks on Championship Night!
