She holds volunteer positions in Junior League of Wichita, on her neighborhood elementary school's PTO Board, and works as an election worker. She can be found blasting podcasts while driving her boys to swim team, dance rehearsal, and hunting Pokémon. Ginny is a laundry folding procrastinator and hobby muralist who loves the Shockers, theme parties, and planning travel. Events AssistantAmy is a lifelong Wichita-area resident, with the exception of her college and grad school years. Amy has worked as a pediatric physical therapist for a local non-profit organization during her 18 year career. She married Brett, a youth pastor turned special education teacher and coach, and can be seen supporting Andover Middle School with her two boys, aged 7 & 6, only 18 months apart! The rest of her time is focused on seeking out adventures with her little family. She also loves browsing grocery store aisles, reading cookbooks, iced coffee and wine. She works full time as vice president at a marketing agency. She'd been in the workforce for 15 years and faced years of fertility challenges before being blessed with son Charlie in 2015. She met her husband, Josh, in kindergarten. The house-divided college sweethearts attended KU and K-State, starting their careers in Dallas before returning to Wichita in 2003. Desi played collegiate sports while attending college and obtained a degree in Biology, Chemistry and Communications. She is a working mom and enjoys a career in pharmaceutical sales. Her family enjoys music of all kinds and works hard putting on a local music festival. She happily resides in Wichita with husband, Ross and their two sweet little girls, Adeline (b. 2012) and Annie (b. 2015). Originally from Argentina, she is happy to raise her kids experiencing different cultures from the places the family has lived in: Buenos Aires City, the suburbs, Costa Rica, Arkansas and ICT area since last summer. She graduated high school and attended the University of Kansas before deciding that cosmetology and the beauty industry was her passion. A licensed hairstylist for (almost) ten years and salon owner for six, she loves creative freedom and the ability to form her work schedule around the needs of her children. Hali now calls El Dorado home and resides there happily with her son Riley (b.2009), her daughter Heidi (b. 2015). In 2013, they moved back to raise their four children in Newton, where her husband is a firefighter. Jenna brought back a love of the French language, culture, cuisine and cheese. Although they attended the same high school they didn’t meet until their mid-20s. Together, they have four kids: Will (19), Addison (16), Bekah (14), and Victor (6 months). Maricar and Chris are originally from Augusta, Georgia (the “Home of the Masters”, for any avid golfers out there) and have moved quite a bit while Chris completed residency/fellowship (and an eight year US Navy commitment). Here in Wichita, they are now planting some roots. Maricar is a chemistry teacher at Wichita Collegiate, who spends a lot of time cheering for her Spartans at sporting events. She enjoys a good inspirational book, a freshly brewed cup of coffee, scrapbooking, and dinner date nights. Eating out and going to movies tops the list of things the Harris family likes to do. Having a newborn at 42 has been life changing, but she recognizes the greatness of this blessing and is looking forward to this chapter of life.
