Ballet Wichita offers ongoing classes at Ballet Wichita. The Institute, a training program that focuses on classical ballet technique offers classes for students who are just beginning ballet (as young as 3.5 years) to dancers who’s pointe shoes have been long neglected and to those who have always been interested and are finally ready to take that big step and enroll in a ballet class. What better way to welcome the new year!
For the serious dance students, our highly trained faculty will work to inspire the whole student to be both an accomplished dancer and a healthy, strong, confident athlete. Students will experience a structured curriculum offered in a nurturing and positive environment, targeting and exploring each student’s strengths and abilities. At the Institute, we offer a multi-skill level system, providing students with a unique curriculum allowing them to observe and learn from each other.
We offer a full range of dance classes for children and young adults, summer programs, master classes, and workshops with visiting instructors.

For more than 40 years, the Wichita Children’s Theatre & Dance Center has been a staple of the Wichita Arts Community. A non-profit theatre and dance school, its mission is to provide arts opportunities to young people of all ages and backgrounds in Wichita and the surrounding area. Now with satellite schools at Marks Arts in east Wichita and in downtown El Dorado, the Wichita Children’s Theatre & Dance Center is proud to enhance the cultural life of south-central Kansas by providing the highest quality performing arts education to its youth.
At JAG our mission is to help our students meet their full potential while in a fun and safe environment. We offer classes starting from 18 months up to adult classes. Our classes include boys and girls recreational gymnastics, tumbling, and ninja warrior for ages 6 & up, preschool for ages 1.5 to 5, urban gymnastics for ages 16 & up. Acrobatic Academy Fitness & Education Center, Inc. is a family-oriented business that provides motor skill development, physical fitness and educational activities for our students, emphasizing positive self-image.
Acrobatic Academy, Inc. has been serving the Wichita and surrounding communities since 1977, offering quality instruction in non-competitive gymnastics, dance, cheer, youth & adult fitness, martial arts, educational pre-school and daycare, and Summer Red Cross swim lessons. The goal of our certified staff is to help students achieve a positive attitude and learn the importance of physical fitness.
Our students enjoy participating in class with experienced instructors who are chosen for their enthusiasm, ability to communicate with children and their caring, positive attitudes.
We offer classes for children and adults at all ages and levels, as well as parent-tot and special needs classes. Our kid-sit service is available for parents wanting to work out or observe a class.

Dance for JESUS Ballet is a new school dedicated to glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ! We teach ballet technique along with interpretive movement and choreography to kids of all ages (3 -15 yrs) using praise songs, worship music, and timeless classical pieces. Each class starts with prayer and scripture. Props such as scarves and crowns are used during class to help teach different techniques along with a little sign language and French terminology. Performances are aimed to be inexpensive and low-key located at the studio or a local family church. Out-reach and ministry to local retirement homes, etc. may be in our future.
Elizabeth Oppermann, the instructor, has been dancing since she was 4. She got serious about ballet in her teens & began taking class from Lila Zali & Kathy Kahn at Ballet Pacifica in Laguna Beach, CA. Elizabeth danced w/BP (as a corps member) for 9 years & also had the joy of dancing w/His Grace Dance Ministry, a Christian ballet company in CA, for 11 years. Elizabeth has taught dance for 23 years at several dance schools in Orange County, CA one being BethEL Ballet, a Christian ballet school. She has lived here in KS for the past 4 years w/her engineer husband & 2 boys.
Cost $5 per class, per student. If you are able to pay the full amount for the 7 week session in advance (no later than first class), the cost is $32.

We are a dance studio for kids ages 3-18. We offer a variety of classes in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and more. We have multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, and also have competitive teams. We are a small studio and focus on injury prevention, technique, and having a fun and invited atmosphere.
Kelcy’s Dance Studio in Wichita offers a wholesome and positive environment to educate dancers ages 3 and older.

Tippi Toes® is a mobile dance program that offers dance classes at gyms, rec centers and schools all around the Wichita Greater Metro. Tippi Toes® classes are for boys and girls ages 18 months and up! Our mission is to develop a love of dancing in children by creating a positive experience that promotes healthy living habits, helps build self-confidence, and a love for others. Class levels are offered from beginning through advanced and in all varieties of dance. Classes run fall through spring with some younger dance classes available for shorter sessions in the spring. Summer sessions run June and July in addition to out-of-state college programs. Re-conditioning classes are offered through the month of August. Each spring WSPA features a spring performance for students who have been enrolled since fall.
Additionally, WSPA offers a Dance Repertoire Theatre by audition every other year. Dancers in repertoire are featured in a fall concert and other community performing opportunities throughout the year.
YWDS opened in 1963 and has been providing exceptional training in a variety of areas of dance for over 50 years! Janna Kaba, director and owner since 1984, has been inspiring and instilling a passion for dance in many young people! Along with a caring staff, we are dedicated to provide a fun and healthy program while building strong self-esteem and confidence in every child.
