I love a good everyone-look-at-the-camera-and-smile-in-the-most-natural-way-photo as much as the next mom; there is absolutely value in having that. We will get that. But my focus is finding the in-between moments that are so much more captivating. My goal is to make images of you and your family that you look at 10 or 20 or 30 years from now and are instantly transported back to that moment in time in such a way you can almost feel the softness of your baby’s skin, the smell of his/her hair, the sound of your child’s giggle, the feeling of your partner’s embrace.
I exclusively shoot natural light which translates to many outdoor sessions where we decide on a location together based on the vision and feeling of your shoot, but also in my clients’ homes. I’m based in Wichita, KS, but am happy to work out logistics to travel to you. Just ask!

I am a lifestyle photographer in the Wichita and Central Kansas area. During a typical session, I strive to create an experience for all clients in which they feel I can illustrate exactly who they are. I use natural light as much as possible, so your session will most likely take place outdoors, with the exception of newborns. Do not expect to sit, pose, or have children act perfect for the camera. “Lifestyle” photography allows you to be who you are, which requires us to have fun during your session. In 99% of them, you won’t find us smiling at the camera. You’ll see images of my husband and I giggling together, or my son preoccupied with a flower he found in a field, my father hand in hand with my son walking down the driveway together. These are the images that make me smile. This is what drives me. Once I figured out what images sparked something within myself, that’s what I began to focus on for others.
