For more than 40 years, the Wichita Children’s Theatre & Dance Center has been a staple of the Wichita Arts Community. A non-profit theatre and dance school, its mission is to provide arts opportunities to young people of all ages and backgrounds in Wichita and the surrounding area. Now with satellite schools at Marks Arts in east Wichita and in downtown El Dorado, the Wichita Children’s Theatre & Dance Center is proud to enhance the cultural life of south-central Kansas by providing the highest quality performing arts education to its youth.
Riverside Music Together is a center in Wichita, Kansas that offers family music classes. We are an accredited provider of Music Together®—an internationally recognized music education program for children from birth through age 5 and the grownups who love them!
When your family joins our community, you and your child will be immersed in a world of participatory music-making, where the combination of singing, movement, and instrumental play is facilitated by a certified music teacher trained in early childhood music education and licensed to teach the Music Together curriculum. The songs and other high-quality music materials we use, crafted through 25 years of research into how children’s music awareness develops, are included in the cost for families to take home.

Garten’s Music is a family-owned retail store that opened in 1969, now featuring keyboard instruments, guitars, ukuleles, music books and more! Band instruments are also available for rental or purchase. In addition, the Wichita Music Academy offers lessons for children and adults in piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, voice, violin, viola, cello, brass, woodwinds, and drums and percussion. All of our instructors must pass four background checks, and all of them have university training and/or professional performance experience. We believe that learning to make music should be fun and that students should learn the music they want to play! Our students earn trophies, wristbands and certificates for achieving musical milestones.
Bring harmony home with Music Together classes! Music Together is an award winning, research based music and movement class for children from birth to five years old with the adults who love them. Music Together classes build on your child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement. Hi! I’m “ViolinJudy” a Wichita wife, mom, Wichita Symphony Violinist, author and blogger at and blessed to be a teacher to the most amazing Violin, Piano and Ukulele students in the Wichita area! Patty has a passion for figuring out what “works” for the individual learner and watching them grow both personally and musically.

We (Laura Hoobler and Tiffany Peterson) started this adventure five years ago when we were looking for summer activities to do with our own children. We provide classes for 2 years old to 6 years old where we love sharing stories, singing, using instruments, and moving!
