The homeschooling space is open now to founding members and will be open to the public beginning November 9th.
As a homeschooling family, with both parents working, the founders of Lily Lake struggled to find a place that met all their wants and needs, so they set out to design it with ongoing input from local families. They believe families are craving a physical, in-person space to be together as a community. Lily Lake was created for this reason!
Lily Lake’s goal is to provide a space where children can experience the adventure, freedom, and wonder of childhood while parents find a supportive environment that helps them juggle the competing demands of today’s world.
Homeschool Learning Collective
Their self-directed homeschool collective and maker-space is now open and serving Wichita-area homeschool families! Similar to the homeschool co-op design that has been around for decades, Lily Lake Homeschool Collective focuses on a bottom-up program design, while taking the pressure off of parents to do it all.
The homeschool space will be open from 9-5 during the week and will offer three, two-hour sessions during that time. Each session will have a spark activity designed for a range of ages which children can choose to participate in. If they choose not to participate, there’s space and supplies available for them to learn and create as their heart desires, by themselves or with friends.
Learning Guides
Through a membership model, they are able to hire learning guides to plan and implement learning opportunities based on the wants and needs of members. Learning guides are there to help kids stay on track and oversee the group, but this is not a formal tutoring service. All learning guides are required to pass a background check in order to work in the homeschool space and have prior experience working with children in educational settings.
Classes & Clubs
Each family and child has different, unique needs and the staff at Lily Lake realizes those needs will change continuously throughout childhood. Their goal is to provide individualized support to member families on their homeschool journey. As they grow, learn more about what families want, and develop relationships throughout the community, additional classes and clubs will be offered for both members and non-members.

Day Passes and Memberships are available for purchase through the Lily Lake website. Access to the Homeschool Learning Collective does not include access to the Play Café (below).
Toddler Play Café
The play café space is designed with parents of young children in mind. Specifically created to be clutter-free and focus on gross motor activity, this indoor playground provides a safe and stimulating environment for young children ages 5 & under to play and burn energy.
Need to get a little work done while still caring for a toddler? Craving a place other than a park to meet? Lily Lake will fill this much-needed gap in our community. Caregivers can enjoy an aesthetically pleasing café experience while working or socializing with friends (or even doing nothing). Parents are required to stay in the café and supervise their children at all times – this is not a drop-off facility.
Day Passes & Memberships
Daily admission will be limited to keep the play café from becoming too crowded. Simply check for availablitiy online & book ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
