The Best Cinnamon Rolls in Wichita
We recently engaged in the debate over whether or not to pair cinnamon rolls with chili – so we are going to need you to weigh in on this:
Do you eat cinnamon rolls with chili?
It’s a thing, trust us. So if you do, scroll to the end for our team’s go-to chili recipes. And in the meantime, below is a list shared by local moms on their favorite cinnamon roll spots (and even a few make-at-home tips). Let us know if we are missing your go-to!
Favorite Spots with Cinnamon Rolls via Wichita Moms:
Carriage Crossing in Yoder, KS: 10002 S Yoder Rd, Yoder, KS 67585 *These are the best, hands down (in our humble opinion). Sure it’s a drive (about 40 minutes from the east side and 20 from west), but it’s a fun experience and totally worth it for these rolls.
Yoder Meats: 798 N. West St., 6458 E. Central, 375 S. Maize Rd., STE 105 – Great news! If you don’t feel like making a drive to Yoder – you can pick up the very best cinnamon rolls at any of the local Yoder Meats locations.
Simple Life Sweets: 124 S. Meridian, Valley Center – The area’s only Gluten-free, peanut-free, and tree-nut free bakery!
Great Harvest Bread: 535 N. Woodlawn – A Wichita Mom favorite when it comes to cinnamon rolls. Honorable Mention is the Cinnamon Chip Bread – this stuff is so good and makes a great gift for teachers, friends, someone who needs a pick me up. Also really good made as French toast.
Costco: 9700 E Kellogg Ave – Because Costco has everything. And their cinnamon rolls are delicious and a perfect add-on while you’re already doing grocery shopping, especially if you are needing in bulk for a party.
Bagatelle Bakery: 6801 E Harry St – Among dozens of other delicious pastries, local favorite Bagatelle Bakery has cinnamon rolls too.
Doo-Dah Diner: 206 E Kellogg St – So technically these aren’t cinnamon rolls, but we consider them in the cinnamon roll family. Sort of? Basically, we just love the monkey bread bites they bring while you wait for your food. Perfect for hungry, waiting kiddos.
Nice Bites: Wichita’s only option for vegan & gluten-free cinnamon rolls (and so many other amazing treats)!
MOXI Junction: 319 S. Park – Located in Maize, this is a favorite west-side coffee shop!
Homemade Cinnamon Roll “Cheats”:
Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls: You know the Rhodes Rolls? The ones you leave out overnight and they are the best rolls on the planet? Well best news is they also make cinnamon rolls. Leave them out overnight and then bake the next morning.
Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll Waffles: Ready to have your mind blown? Literally these are Pillsbury brand (the tube you can buy at the grocery store) but made in a waffle maker. Go try it and thank us later.
Gluten Free Sensations: If you miss “real” cinnamon rolls that aren’t super dense (the way GF cinnamon rolls can often be) and don’t have the time or energy to make your own, we HIGHLY recommend ordering from this bakery. They freeze the rolls & ship them straight to your door!
