Enjoy everything there is to love about fall while strolling through Botanica during four fun-filled nights at the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular! The beloved annual event takes place October 9, 10, 11 & 12, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. each night.
Kids (and kids at heart) are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to kick off the holiday season early! Botanica’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular kicks off fall with activities and entertainment that will be enjoyed by the whole family.
Activities at Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular
This October, Botanica will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween haunt perfect for both the brave and timid. Carved by volunteer groups in the Wichita community, find more than 1,000 unique pumpkins lit up for everyone to see.
Guests will be amazed with one-of-a-kind pumpkin sculptures, gravity-defying aerial acrobatics and eye-popping fire dancing while walking through the gardens.
Live music from DJ Carbon will also be available on the Dr. David and Mickie Brown Grand Lawn and Stage near the Khicha Family Carousel in the Koch Carousel Gardens.
Enjoy a spooky movie on the terrace hill, grab a cocktail and a bite to eat from local food trucks onsite.
Then be sure to stroll through the plant graveyard and visit the giant bug display in our main meadow. Ranging from spooky to fun, everyone will find something to enjoy!
Admission to Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular
Admission to Botanica’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is only $15 for adults, $12 for Botanica members and $10 for kids ages 3-12. Children 2 years old and younger receive complimentary admission. Tickets can be purchased prior to the event online here.
While on the website, you can also book a private golf cart tour to be taken during the event! Golf cart tours are available each day of the Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular and can be reserved in advance by email or calling 316.264.0448 ext.113.

Even after you’ve done all the activities and been thoroughly entertained, there is still plenty to see at Botanica. The 20 acres of the ever-changing botanical wonderland houses more than 30 themed areas and over 4,000 plant species. As guests wind through the gardens, they will also discover additional gems. Inspiring sculptures, relaxing water features, and even a ride on a restored 1949 carousel makes for an experience to remember. It’s true that Botanica is fun for the whole family.
