Hanging with Heroes | Recap

There is only one way to describe our Hanging with Heroes event :: SUPER! We spent the most gorgeous morning at Andover eCademy with more than 100 families, a couple superheroes, and some pretty awesome heroes from our own community.

web-165 A special thank you to our local Co-Title Sponsors, Wesley Children’s Hospital and Wesley Children’s Foundation.

In addition to providing expert care and support for the smallest of heroes, Wesley Children’s Hospital and Wesley Children’s Foundation sponsored a Teddy Bear Clinic. Each child received a teddy bear to care for as a medical professional. Temperatures were taken, bandages applied, and surgery performed (if needed) before sending the cute bears home with a clean bill of health!

Hanging with Heroes completely took over the Andover eCademy campus, and it was epic. We loved sharing this tremendous community resource. Families even got to discover their new eCafé while making superhero masks.

We are forever grateful for those who serve in our community and country to keep our families safe. We are especially thankful to the Andover Fire DepartmentMcConnell Air Force Base, and United States Army Reserve for spending the morning with us and sharing their state-of-the art equipment with us. Families learned about all combative training in Army, the tactics utilized to disarm explosive devices, and explored a firetruck! A special thank you to the Donut Whole for providing a special {read: delicious} breakfast for our community heroes.
