From the creators of Somewhere Festival & Conference comes Somewhere in Winter – Wichita’s first-ever downtown holiday festival and outdoor ice rink, happening now through January 4th.
This new winter tradition transforms downtown Wichita into a sparkling wonderland filled with creativity and festive fun for all ages. Whether you’re looking for a family outing, a holiday date night, or a place to meet friends while the kids are out of school, this is the spot!

Outdoor Ice Rink
At the heart of the festival is a full-size real outdoor ice rink, surrounded by cozy gathering spaces, seasonal food and drink, and special pop-up activations. Skate with the whole family over winter break or bring visiting relatives for an experience they won’t forget.

On Sundays, December 14th and 21st from 1-4pm, explore the Old Town Farm & Art Market’s specialty holiday market, packed with handmade gifts, local goods, and festive treats. Food trucks will also be on-site throughout the season (check Old Town Farm & Art Market’s Instagram for the lineup).
And if you’re craving something sweet or warm, Cocoa Dolce is conveniently located across the street – the perfect place to grab hot cocoa, coffee, or a holiday treat before settling into a cozy igloo.
