RiverFlix is completely free—just grab a blanket, pack some snacks (or let the food trucks do the work), and settle in for a cozy family movie night under the stars. All ages welcome!
A Magical Movie Experience
Arrive early (food trucks and seating open at 6pm) to snag the best spot, let the kids stretch their legs, and grab a bite before the show. As the sun dips below the Keeper, the screen will come to life with one of these family favorites (subject to change). More shows will be added throughout the year – check their website for updates!
- Seating: Since seating is on turf, we recommend bringing blankets or cushions for comfort. There will be limited to no space around the amphitheater bowl for lawn chairs. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to use your lawn chair and encourage you to plan on sitting on blankets/cushions if possible. We will have designated space available for accessible seating, including guests utilizing wheelchairs.
- Wagons and Strollers: For safety and space reasons, wagons, strollers, scooters, and lawn chairs are not permitted in the seating area. Unattended stroller and wagon parking will be available. Please note that the museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Concessions: There will be food and beverage available for purchase from the Snack Lab and food trucks. Outside food and drinks are allowed – no glass containers, please. Alcohol is not permitted.
- Restrooms: Restrooms will be open and available inside the museum. Follow signs for a shortcut through Water Way Terrace.
- Parking: Free parking in the Exploration Place lot will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Arrival Time: Gates open at 6:00 pm to allow time for seating and to enjoy the food trucks. The movie starts at approximately sunset.
- Respectful Viewing: Please be mindful of others by keeping noise to a minimum and staying seated during the movie (unless you need to pop out for a restroom or snack break, of course).
- Cleanliness: Help us keep the area clean by using designated trash bins for your waste.
- Weather: In case of inclement weather, check our website or social media for updates. We will also use outdoor overhead announcements if necessary.
- Subject to Change: Plans may change due to weather, availability or emergencies. We’ll do our best to keep the website updated on any changes!
- There will be no RiverFlix on Friday, July 4 or Friday, October 3.
