Travelin Tots is a Part or Full Day Tot School/Preschool for children 18 months to 5 years. We are a play based program because in the toddler/preschool years that is where most learning takes place. We have planned monthly themes and work on curriculum but with a hands on child interest driven perspective since not all children develop or are interested in things at the same time. I have a bachelors degree in education and 14 Years in the Early Childhood Education Field.

We are happy to be able to provide a part time small class size option for families who do not need a traditional Monday-Friday option.

Travelin Tots offers 2 options with classes available 2-3 days per week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Half Day: (7:30 am-noon)

Full Day: (7:30am-4:30pm)

Goal: Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, child-centered environment – in order to help each child develop cognitively, emotionally, physically and socially on an individual basis, at his/her own level of readiness.

Class Size and Certifications: Westwood is a developmentally appropriate preschool for children ages 3 through 5. Our teachers have extensive experience in early childhood education. We are licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and are inspected annually.  We have chosen to limit enrollment to 21 children in the 3 day class and 18 children in the 2 day class in order to achieve a more favorable teacher-child ratio. We have a lead teacher and assistant in each class plus a parent helper.  The 3 day class ratio is 1 to 7 and the 2 day class ratio is 1 to 6.

Parent Helper Program: We offer a Parent Helper Program which allows parents who want to be involved an opportunity to work in their child’s classroom one or two times each month. This is a unique opportunity to share a morning with your child at school.

My name is Heather Harrison. After 31 years in public education (20 yrs. teaching 6th grade
Math and Language Arts and 11 yrs. teaching 5th and 6th grade Physical Education, and many
years of coaching basketball and running), I decided it was time to try something new.  My new venture is Step
It Up Tutoring and More, LLC.  There are 4 branches of my venture.  The first is Physical Education classes for teaching nontraditional/homeschool students (K-12 grade).  I have a space at Towne West Mall 2 doors down from Dicks Sporting Goods.  I will attach the information flyer.  The other areas of my venture are in the developmental phase that will be up and running by the end of August 2022.  The second part is private tutoring  for 4th – 6th graders in academic areas. Third I will have day camps periodically throughout the school year.  I will be finalizing those dates in the very near future.  I will be able to accommodate approximately 15 children 3rd – 6th grade each camp.  Finally, I will provide a Field Day to Go for teambuilding activity, birthday parties, family reunions, and block parties.  Please contact me with any other questions you have.  I tried to upload my flyer, but it said it was forbidden.  Please let me know if you could help me get the information to you in another format.  Thank you for your time and assistance in my new venture!  Heather Harrison

Faith Academy - logo.png
8340 W 21st St, Wichita, KS 67205, USA

Faith Academy is a classical school, and the curriculum is classical in nature. We believe the curriculum, and the manner in which it is taught will fully prepare students for college, the workforce, or whatever future God has planned for them.

Faith Academy students learn to think critically and reason logically, to read and comprehend at high levels, to speak winsomely and write persuasively, to solve complex math problems, and to appreciate God’s creation and order, as well as worship and serve Him in all things.

Our classical school curriculum is enthusiastically and unapologetically Christian. The history of the Church and its impact on society and culture is one of the pillars of our approach. We also emphasize literature and stories that encourage God-honoring behavior and character traits. However, our students are not overly sheltered. Vigorous reading in Christian apologetics fortifies our students’ faith against a wide range of skepticism and prepares them to do battle in a world that can be hostile to their beliefs.

We believe the Kingdom of God has been advancing since Christ’s earthly ministry purchased a people in whom the Spirit of God lives, and we are grateful for the opportunity to participate in His work through the shaping and equipping of young minds and hearts at Faith Academy.
