I also work with birth trauma and disappointment. I have experience working with trauma of different kinds and other medical issues. I use mindfulness and other techniques to help the client sort through their past and present struggles and learn to cope in helpful and therapeutic ways.

Babywearing International, Inc. (BWI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote babywearing as a universally accepted practice, with benefits for both child and caregiver, through education and support. Babywearing International of Wichita is a local chapter of BWI supporting Wichita, Kansas and surrounding areas.
We offer free, public meetings led by Volunteer Babywearing Educators (VBEs) with extensive knowledge of different types of baby carriers and babywearing safety. While we do not sell or endorse specific brands of baby carriers, this chapter maintains a lending library so that members and attendees can try a variety of carriers to determine what meets their individual needs. At our monthly chapter meetings we offer education on babywearing safety and offer support to anyone who is interested in getting more information or assistance with their own baby carriers. Our VBEs will give demonstrations, answer questions, assist caregivers in finding and using a certain type of baby carrier, and offer support and encouragement to babywearing parents and caregivers.

Dr. Dennis “Doc” Scharenberg earned his doctorate from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1973. He is certified in post graduate work in Sports and Recreation Injuries from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and Post Graduate studies of Idiopathic Scoliosis. He is a diplomat on the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Fellow in Acupuncture Society of America and International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture.
Dr. S is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Kansas Chiropractic Association, and the Kansas Chiropractic Foundation (KCF) and is currently President of the KCF. He has been in practice for 33 years in Hillsboro, Herington, and Wichita, KS.
Dr. Scharenberg was awarded Doctor of the Year at the Kansas (statewide) Chiropractic Convention on Sept 30, 2006.
