Where to Find the Best Sledding Hills in Wichita for Kids

College Hill Park

You’ll find the hill just on the south side of Douglas, across the street from Blessed Sacrament Church. This is one of our absolute favorites – you really pick up speed. It does get pretty busy, so be careful! Closest coffee: Papa’s General Store and Coffee Daze

College Hill Sledding Hill

Sedgwick County Park

A super safe hill with no cars around – you’ll find this hill it near the northwest corner off the park! Closest coffee: Aroma Coffeehouse

Cracker Barrel on West Kellogg

A west-side favorite because it’s so steep – but keep an eye out for cars (at the top) and the little ditch at the bottom of the hill! Closest coffee: Sojourner’s

Mid-America All-Indian Center

This hidden gem is just north of the parking lot and is one we used to use during our own childhoods. Snow day nostalgia. Closest coffee:  Pennant Coffee

Oliver & George Washington Blvd.

For fams on the south side! This hill is near the soccer fields. Closest coffee: Kwik Shop across the street!

Hill at Maize South High School 

Per our Wichita Mom West Side Neighborhood group, this is a great spot for west siders. Located at Maize South High near the amphitheater. Closest coffee: Moxi Junction (a local favorite!!)
