With over 80 people in attendance and plenty of fall treats and crafts to keep the kids entertained, we had so much fun at yesterday’s Wichita Moms Blog Fall Festival Playdate at Whole Foods Market Wichita!
Aside from the blazing sun (come on, Wichita – it is almost October!), it doesn’t get any more fall than painting with apples and leaves, dipping caramel apples and sipping on apple cider while listening to a story about Pete the Cat’s 5 Little Pumpkins.

Immediately following was the Whole Foods first annual Fall Festival, including live music, an Instagram Photo spot (complete with props!), plenty of delicious samples in the store (did anyone try the Califa Farms Pumpkin Spice Latte, oh my WORD!) and budget-friendly lunch deals for the family. Meanwhile, WMB playdate attendees were the first in line to enjoy the incredibly talented face painter and feed the too-adorable animals in the petting zoo!
All of the WMB playdate ticket proceeds went directly to the Whole Kids Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting schools and inspiring families to make healthy food choices. Part of this program is the School Garden Grant, which provides a grant to a K-12 school to support a new or existing edible garden. Be sure to contact Whole Foods Wichita if you’re interested in applying for a garden grant for your school.
A huge thank you to all the kiddos, moms, dads and grandparents who came out, and a BIG thank you to our sponsors and the Whole Foods team for hosting and for being so helpful, creative and friendly! We can’t wait to do it again soon. Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement for our winter playdate with Whole Foods!
