We had an incredible time at our Spring Family Fun Day last Saturday, hosted by Backyard Specialists. It was a sunny morning of family-friendly fun with a great turnout of Wichita families!
Have you been to Backyard Specialists? Their complex is right off of K-96 (just to the South of Sams Club in the parking lot), and it’s a childhood dream with play sets and trampolines for days! And a hidden treasure of a secret is that they offer “Pay to Play” days on Thursdays where your family can come and play for the day!
Kiddos got to climb, bounce and swing on all of the equipment, and the staff was incredibly friendly and fun. They even set up a snow cone machine!
Thanks to Chick-Fil-A East for keeping our bellies full with warm, delicious chicken biscuits, and to Costco for keeping us hydrated and replenished with bottled water and fruit snacks!
And a huge thank you to the businesses we partnered with to bring family fun to the morning! We had a tap dancing station with MGM Studio of the Dance, a discovery station where kiddos got to learn about the life cycle of the butterfly with K12, and a wand making station with tattoos and glitter hairspray with Pigtails and Crewcuts!
And it wouldn’t have been an event without entertainment! We had Not Just Make Believe Entertainment‘s princesses mingling and hanging with the kiddos, Art on a Cart handling every single face painting request you could imagine, Riverside Music Together holding mini jam sessions, Yoga Central leading families in yoga, and the Wichita Public Library reading stories to the littles!
We were thrilled with the generous families in attendance. Because of you, we were able to provide 64 formula donations, totaling over $1,000, to our partners at The Treehouse! Those who brought donations were able to create a special Mother’s Day Craft, and one lucky family walked away with the Ultimate Summer Giveaway!
And we hope everyone got the chance to visit the SMILE Photo Booth station with Smith Orthodontics! This team sure knows how to have fun as they provided toothbrushes with “smile sticks”, dress up items, and props for the Photo Booth. Be sure to check out their Facebook Page to find your picture!
