Keeping your little ones entertained can sometimes prove to be a challenge, but luckily there are so many things to do with babies and toddlers in Wichita. They are either running all over the place with their short attention spans, or they are not old enough to enjoy certain activities. Thankfully, Wichita has some wonderful activities for the two and under crowd!
Things to do with Babies and Toddlers in Wichita
All Around the ICT
Libraries: The libraries in Wichita are a fabulous place for little kids! Each has their own unique children activities from story times to craft events. Check out the library closest to you to find events and stay updated on their latest COVID protocols and open hours.
Splash Pads: When the weather is hot, splash pads are the perfect place for your two and under tot to cool off. Check out our guide to Splash Parks and Fountains around town .
YMCA: The YMCAs in Wichita are top notch. Some have open gymnastic times while other have make and take craft sessions. During the summer, all of the YMCA water parks have Toddler Time. This is the best. All of the sprayers and waves are off, and you and your littles can enjoy splashing around all summer!
Aviate: A great place for you and your waddler to bounce around! Ticket pricing here.

Jumpy Jump Land: Jumpy Jump Land offers indoor bouncing fun! They have jump castles for different ages/levels of jumpers. *closed during firework season (July).*
My Gym: My Gym has developed an extraordinary program and facility devised to help children 6 weeks thru 10 years of age develop physically, cognitively and emotionally. Our oldest started at My Gym around 14 months and it was a great place for him to help develop his fine and gross motor skills.
Music Together of Wichita: Music Together brings together music and movement class for children from birth to five years old. You and your child will create music and ‘be’ the music together!

MOXI Junction is a coffeehouse, bakery and art gallery that employs and trains special needs adults and teens. For information on in-person storytimes and family events, check out their events on Facebook.
Sedgwick County Park – Boundless Playground: This playground is the only facility of its kind in the area where kids and parents of all abilities can play together. Its rubber surface is the perfect for babies who aren’t 100% steady on their feet. There are ramps, oodles of different swings, and a special toddler playground.
Sedgwick County Zoo: Wichita is blessed with our zoo. Truly a gem! I started taking my kids there when my oldest was 6 months old, and the second one started tagging along at 5 weeks! Large walking areas, air conditioned areas (perfect for a quick break from the ICT summers!) giraffe feeding, and the ability to bring in my own lunch! They also have a nice nursing area for mommas and their little ones.
Sunshine Family Yoga: Offering a nurturing community and wisdom sharing for pregnancy, birthing and parenting. Sunshine Family Yoga offers fun and family focused classes for littles from 4 weeks to 7 years, including a postnatal mom and baby classes.

Urban Air: Another great place for you and your toddler to bounce around! Special pricing for jumpers 5 & under.
The PBS Kansas Children’s Education & Discovery Center helps children develop skills in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, so they can discover their own possibilities. It’s targeted for children 2-10 years old – but we guarantee the whole family will enjoy this FREE center that is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
Botanica: There is more to Botanica than just their gorgeous flowers. Step into the Downing Children’s Garden for a magical time with your child. My toddler loves helping water the plants in the watering area, and playing the musical instruments in Granddaddy’s musical maze. My one year old loves splashing in the fountain on Sunflower Plaza. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a beautiful day outside!
Exploration Place: Though much of Exploration Place is geared to the older learners, the Kids Kansas Connect is the perfect spot for the littles! Exhibits include a farmers market, fixing a tractor, silo slide, garden, and much more. There is even a padded, enclosed area for the tiniest of explorers.
