Things to Do in Wichita with Teens & Tweens
Looking for some fun family activities older kids won’t complain about? We feel ya! Here are our tried & true favorite things to do in Wichita with tweens, teens, and college kids.
1. Smash it out at one of Wichita’s rage rooms.
No, really! Admission to Let’s Smash in Delano and ICT Rage Room (moving this winter, new location TBD) allows you to trash, bash, and smash furniture & electronics to your heart’s content.
2. Scale the indoor rock wall at Bliss Climbing & Fitness.
Push your mind, body, and imagination as you challenge yourself and your friends up their 40 foot walls. All skill levels are welcome!
3. Give axe throwing a shot.
Who’s the best with a blade? Find out at one of Wichita’s axe-throwing establishments. They also serve food & drinks!

4. Break out of an escape room.
If you’ve got an hour to kill & enjoy solving puzzles, your family will love working together to bust out of our favorite escape rooms in Wichita!

5. Take in a Show
Take in classics at the Wichita Orpheum Theater or catch new releases at AMC Theaters or Regal Warren Theaters.
6. Hit the Lanes
Bowling is an easy and entertaining way to occupy a few hours indoors! A little friendly competition with tons of snacks will keep everyone smiling!

7. Take to the Air
There are two trampoline parks in Wichita where you can show off your moves! Not just for little kids, teens & adults can enjoy climbing, bouncing, flipping, and basketball.

8. Get Your Game On
Introduce your kids to the glory of 80s arcade games and pinball machines! The Arcade in Old Town lets big kids & adults play for $10. For more modern games & lunch/dinner, head to Dave & Buster’s.
If lawn games are more your style, head to Chicken N Pickle for cornhole, giant Jenga, pickleball, and more! Top Golf Wichita offers driving ranges, games, and private driving range bays as well as a full bar & restaurant.
Nerf Warz is Wichita’s largest foam dart arena – perfect for parties or a family night out.
9. Get Artsy
Head to one of these local spots to paint pottery & ceramics – some will even let you make your own! Or visit one of Wichita’s favorite museums. The Wichita Art Museum & Ulrich Art Museum are FREE!
10. Go Skating
Go roller skating at Carousel or brave the ice at Wichita Ice Center! In winter, Chicken N Pickle also has an outdoor ice skating rink.
11. Hit the Trails
