Children’s Consignment Stores in Wichita

I may or may not have a slight problem with buying clothing for my now two daughters (slight problem as in their closets are a million times better than mine, and they sometimes only wear outfits once or twice). At the same time, I’m one of the biggest deal finders out there. Shopping at consignment stores is a great way to save money, and we have multiple around town that cater to children and moms!

Consignment stores are a great place to find gently used items for a fraction of the cost – especially with smaller sizes, kids grow out of clothing and shoes so quickly that they’ve hardly been worn. All of the stores have high standards for quality so you won’t find stained or worn out pieces as is sometimes the case with garage sales. I’ve found great deals on maternity clothing, shoes, dance and gymnastics leotards and shoes, Halloween costumes, and holiday outfits as well as baby equipment and everyday clothing.

Each of the stores has a Facebook page where they post sales and which items they’re currently buying. The four of them are spread out throughout Wichita making it easy for moms on all sides of town, and the ones I’ve personally visited have play areas for the kids while you shop! (Anyone else think more stores should do this?!)

If you consign your items there, you can take cash or – a higher percentage – store credit to refill your kids’ closets. Dressing your children doesn’t have to break the bank, and you’re supporting local small business owners at the same time!
