Looking to sign up your little fish for swimming lessons? Or a competitive league/team? Check out these options Wichita has to offer.

New! This summer Miracle League of Wichita is offering Swim Team in July! With a variety of zero entry pools, chair lifts and versatile locations, the Miracle League has a swimming league for individuals ages 5-30 with special needs. All registered swimmers will receive a uniform and Miracle League swag! Every swimmer will be provided a life jacket and be partnered with a Buddy to assist during the swim practices and meet.

The five-week season will consist of 4 practices at your “team pool” and then one big swim meet held on Saturday, August 5 at Aley Pool where teams will compete in multiple heats. Athletes only need to be comfortable in the water, to participate.

Also – we are always looking for volunteers to be a Miracle League Buddy! Volunteers must be ages 10+. Visit for more info.

YMCA offers a multitude of sports each season, with many being offered year round. This is a great (and cheap) way for beginners to be introduced into any sport. Once they develop a basic understanding of that sport, there are a number of organizations within the community that specialize in specific sports.
