YMCA Child Care Keeps Getting Better with Upgrades to South Y Early Learning Center

Sponsored by the Greater Wichita YMCA.

preschoolers with their teacherChild care services provided by the Greater Wichita YMCA have the seal of approval from working parents, and here’s why:

“Our son loves his teachers and has really thrived this year. The staff in knowledgeable, friendly and always able to tell me if AJ had a good day or if there are any concerns. I love that I am able to go to work confidently knowing he is not simply being taken care of but is getting a quality of care that is priceless and truly hard to find.” – The Carbajal Family

The trust and confidence the Carbajals and many others like them have put in us is the reason why the Y continues to be the largest licensed child care provider in South Central Kansas. We take pride in what we do and make sure families receive the highest quality care that prioritizes the healthy development of their children.

Among our many options for parents, Early Learning Centers (ELCs) located within three Y branches provide a place where students (ages two weeks through their start of school) embark on their first steps toward lifelong learning and self-discovery.

One ELC location in particular, the South YMCA ELC, has many families excited to be part of its grand reopening in mid-April. The good news is that spots are still available for even more families to be among the first to enjoy this redesigned and upgraded space. Parents and caregivers are welcome to email ELC Director Jackie Tanner at [email protected] to inquire about enrollment.

Right now, we’re putting the finishing touches on renovations and getting ready to relocate classes from the nearby temporary spaces back into their permanent home.

The South YMCA ELC has gone through a complete transformation with modern features added throughout!

One of the most important things to know about Y child care services is that we are FOR ALL. We believe every family should have access to dependable, safe and exemplary child care. Our income-based financial assistance program ensures that happens.

The Y knows how important your children are to you and that is why we go above and beyond to meet your individuals needs. We invite anyone who is interested in learning more about our child care offerings to visit us online at ymcawichita.org/childcare or call 316-264-1610.
