What a year!
We have met the most incredible people over the last year and have been blown away by the support we’ve received. We have enjoyed nothing more than watching so many relationships form between readers, the WMB team, event attendees, and businesses we have had the pleasure of working with.
After all, that’s the entire mission behind this family-focused resource and the reason we exist – to connect moms!
Since our launch on February 24th, we have not slowed down one little bit, and we sure don’t plan to in 2016. Our writing team of local moms has doubled since the beginning, and our social media following has grown to over 6,000 followers. We love interacting with our readers both online and in person. We love hearing from you and often receive emails asking us for suggestions and recommendations. Thank you for allowing us to be the trusted parenting resource for the moms of Wichita!
This year, we started things off with a bang at our launch party at Apricot Lane and then partnered with other businesses we love to bring you some really exciting playdates and events. We kicked off the summer with a Fairytale in the Park and connected over 200 moms with our Summer Playdate Series. We began quarterly playdates with Whole Foods (that will continue into 2016), hosted a holiday shopping event at Costco for nearly 600 people, and had a BLAST at our Fit Moms Night Out at Genesis.
We had so much fun in 2015, and we are ready for an even better 2016. You do NOT want to miss the exciting things to come at our first event of the year : Our WMB Birthday Bash!!
Most importantly, our purpose is to build connections with local families and to connect moms to each other and our community, ultimately making motherhood feel a little less isolating. Our team of writers come from different backgrounds and have unique parenting perspectives, but each have the common thread of passion for their families and for supporting our community.
