Illuminations at Botanica
Every year, families across Wichita (and beyond!) bundle up, grab some cocoa, and head to Botanica for a night of sparkling lights and unforgettable memories. And this year’s display is brighter, bigger, and even more magical than ever before. Botanica’s annual holiday light show, Illuminations, will take place nightly from November 22, 2025 – January 3, 2026.
Ticket time slots are available at 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:30 pm.
Recently voted one of the Top 10 Best Light Shows in the country, Illuminations transforms Botanica’s 20 acres into a glowing wonderland filled with over two million shimmering lights, music, and holiday cheer. It’s the perfect place to start a new family tradition, celebrate the season, and make memories that twinkle all year long.

What’s Happening During Illuminations?
There’s something enchanting waiting around every corner at this year’s Illuminations! Don’t miss Botanica’s newest installations, including Tulipscapes, an immersive floral light experience in the Margie Button Memorial Fountain, and a Gilded Age spin in the Shakespeare Garden to immerse yourself in red and gold holiday charm. Wander through the one-of-a-kind vibrant butterfly installation located in the Butterfly House, and explore the enchanted 62-foot Christmas tree that dances to holiday tunes.
Families will also love exploring the land of miniatures and the holiday train express filled with festive charm and creative touches. And of course, classic favorites have returned, from the Funky Tree to the Meadow Show and countless light displays waiting to be discovered. Plus, no holiday outing is complete without a visit from Santa! Stop by to see the jolly man himself and drop off your letter. He’ll be visiting through December 23. Then, cap off the night with a spin on the Khicha Family Carousel, and check out special edition Illuminations apparel at the pop-up gift shops for a perfect holiday keepsake.
Don’t feel like walking or have someone in your party with mobility issues? See Illuminations in style with a personalized golf cart tour! You and four of your family or friends can ride in a golf cart for a tour of the lights. Tours are available beginning November 22 on a limited basis. Tours begin at 4:30 pm and are about 45 minutes in length. They cost $175 for up to 5 guests; $150 minimum per golf cart, and admission into Illuminations is included. The tour includes hot cocoa and popcorn from our lobby concessions after your tour!

Admission to Illuminations is $19 for non-member adults, $15 for member adults, $12 ages 3-12, and free for children 2 and under.

Even after you’ve met Santa and been awed by the light shows, there is still plenty to see at Botanica. The 20 acres of the ever-changing botanical wonderland houses more than 30 themed areas and over 4,000 plant species. As guests wind through the gardens, they will also discover additional gems.
