Taste of Wichita is back by popular demand after a successful first year in 2020! Last year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Junior League of Wichita needed to find a way to serve our community by pivoting from our traditional large-scale fundraiser events, toward something smaller and safer. They were proud to present a dining experience like no other!
The Junior League of Wichita is proud to present a unique dining experience like no other. They’ve partnered with some of the best restaurants in our community to provide a fine dining menu at an affordable price. By partnering with local restaurants, they were able to not only raise funds for the community and awareness for their causes, but also to help bolster the Wichita economy at a time when local restaurants and their employees were being hit hardest. During their inaugural year, they partnered with fourteen restaurants.
The price point for restaurant patrons will remain the same as the event’s inaugural year. Restaurants have their choice of serving a $15 option, a $30 option, or both. This is once again a great way of including a diverse set of local restaurants you may not typically frequent. Alcohol will also be featured on Taste of Wichita menus for the first time. One of the restaurant partners, Prost, will be offering a beer flight as part of the event. What better way to try out some of Germany’s best bier?
The Junior League of Wichita’s hope is that Taste of Wichita becomes a city-wide restaurant week that the community looks forward to year after year. Make sure to add an extra date night, girls’ night, family dinner out, or curbside order to your plans between October 1st and October 10th!
How It Works
A dozen restaurant are participating in this year’s Taste of Wichita. Whether you’re dining in or picking up curbside, each participating restaurant will offer a special Taste of Wichita Menu during the 10 days.
When you visit or place your order, be sure to ask for the special Taste of Wichita menu. Restaurants will each have their own menu specials at $15 or $30 price points. A percentage of these menus will go to support Junior League of Wichita.
