The Best Sushi Restaurants in Wichita

If your family is anything like ours, you are serious about and want to know where to get the best sushi! When we first moved to Wichita I was concerned that living in a landlocked city, I’d have to give up one of my favorite cuisines. Luckily I was wrong! Wichita has a great array of quality places (at the bonus of being much more affordable than many other cities)!

We love it all and almost always end up picking it for date night (and our toddler will eat an entire California Roll and Shrimp Tempura roll in a matter of minutes).

The next time you have a craving, here are some of Wichita’s best sushi restaurants:

Blue Fin Sake Bar & Sushi

255 Washington N, Wichita, KS 6720

Blue Fin has an impressive menu with a large variety of of rolls to choose from. Some of our favorites are the Blue Fin Roll, the Ichiban Roll, and the Japanese Burrito.

Hana Cafe

325 N Mead, Wichita, KS 67202

Hana Cafe is known as the oldest sushi bar in Old Town. It has some delicious options! Some of our go-to rolls are the Dynamite Roll, the Alaskan Roll, and the Sun-Kissed Roll.

Jacky Chan Sushi

7820 E Harry St, Wichita, KS 67207

Known for the delicious Jacky Fried Rice, some of the most popular rolls are the Spicy Lobster Maki, the Jacky Maki, and the Spicy Tuna Tempura Maki.

Ninza Sushi Bar (two locations)

Ninza Sushi East

306 N Rock Rd, Unit 20, Wichita, KS 67206

Ninza Sushi Bar (West)

8428 W 13th St N Ste 100 Wichita, KS 67212

Ninza Sushi Bar offers an extensive menu. You will be spoiled for choice! I recommend the Mountain Roll, the Sexy Roll, and the Red Fantasy Roll. If you want to get an appetizer too, don’t miss out on the Monkey Brain.

Sakura Japanese Cuisine

605 W Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67207

If you are not there for the delicious ramen, and are wanting to have sushi, go with the Desert Maki, the Sakura Maki, and the Seafood Tempura Maki.

Sapporo Japanese Sushi Restaurant

8065 E Peachtree Ln, Wichita, KS 67207

My ultimate favorite sushi restaurant in town. Our regular order usually includes the Sweet Heart Roll, the Sake Roll, and the WSU Roll. We have enjoyed every single items we have ordered from Sapporo! You can’t go wrong !

Wasabi Sushi (three locations)

Wasabi East

3242 N Rock Rd #112, Wichita, KS 67226

Some of the must-try rolls at Wasabi East are the Crazy Stonehenge Roll, the BSCR Roll, and the Love Roll. And, for those of you who like some heat, check out the Mango Habanero Roll.

Wasabi Hinaku (Downtown)

912 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67202

This is the first sushi restaurant I tried when I first moved here, and I always enjoy the food there! Some of my favorites are the Crunch Rose Roll, the Mountain Roll, and the Manhattan Roll.

Wasabi Sushi Bar West

2404 N Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67205

We recommend you try the Premium Lobster Roll, the Dancing Crunch Roll, and the Kamikaze Roll. If you feel like something a bit more unique, give the Coconut Gigolo Roll a try.
