I love birthdays, dinner parties and any and all excuses for a social gathering. And even more? My party-loving heart explodes over the little details included in these get-togethers. It’s what sets the overall tone and ambiance, don’t you think?
But now that I’m a mom, I don’t have the time or patience I need (or, I guess I should say want) to put into the details. That’s exactly why I really appreciate those who have a heart for details as well and are willing to do the work for me!
Mary, a native Wichitan and owner of Love of Character, recently extended the invite to Wichita Moms Blog Contributors (and ALL of our littles) to a special tea party showcasing her talents and love for character. We had boys and girls ranging from the ages of 9 months to 11 years old, and let me tell you, this self-proclaimed #girlboss didn’t miss a beat! She thought of everything from hand-crafted invitations (including our littles’ most beloved stuff animals), authentic-looking “crystal” glassware for the kiddos, Mommy mimosas, macaroons and scones, beautiful place settings, hats for the kids to decorate, and party favors (tiny boxes of tea character for the boys and tiny boxes of tea character for the girls).
Quite honestly, words can’t even do justice to describe how fabulous this tea party was. So, we’ll just let the beautiful pictures from Erin Bartel Photography do the talking for us!
Yep. Took our breath away too, and we nearly fell over when we saw the place settings. But don’t worry, they are completely kid-friendly! All of our littles had a wonderful time showing off their Sunday best (complete with bow ties and dresses) and each left with tea party favors and sugar-highs that lasted until the next week!
