We are often asked where to pick apples in and around the Wichita area. Some of our favorite fall (and late summer) family bucket list activities are peach and apple picking in Wichita and the surrounding areas! We’ve compiled a list of You-Pick orchards in Wichita (and a few that offer pre-picked produce) for fruit lovers of all ages. Depending on the season, you can grab a bushel and a peck of apples, peaches, or pears.

Below are the nearby farms to take your family apple-picking. Crops are dependent on so many variables and changes weekly, and we recommend you call before you make the drive to one of these orchards so you know what’s available!

Meadowlark Farm | 11249 SW 160th St, Rose Hill, KS 67133
Apples start with one variety ready in July and the other twenty varieties ripening in August through October. The 2024 crop is awesome! You won’t want to miss this apple crop! Hours are 10am-5pm, Wednesday-Sunday and open until 7pm on Fridays. You can check out more about the farm here.
Steffen Apple Orchard | 1345 W. 90th Ave N. Conway Springs, KS
20 acres of you-pick apples about 40 minutes outside Wichita in Conway Springs. Give them a call at 620-456-2706.
Blood Orchards | 6346 S Broadway Ave, Wichita, KS
Dating all the way back to 1871, Blood Orchards is bringing back the you-pick tradition started by their great-great-grandfather. There are currently peach trees growing in their large field that will hopefully be big enough for the public to pick in 2025. And there is a small lot for apple picking! Call them at (316) 524-4207 to set up a time to pick!

Meadowlark Farms is wonderful! Southeast of Andover. Depending on the time of year it’s pick your own strawberry, peach, apple, pumpkin patch, and corn maze!
