Al’s has been a Wichita literary staple since 1957! Located in downtown Wichita in the Delano District, they have a small children’s section – it’s better for those searching for adult books and classics. 

Barnes & Noble in Bradley Fair

1920 N. Rock Rd.

This chain, while not locally owned, is a great spot to pick up new releases, sweet treats, and gifts for bibliophiles. They have a huge children’s section!

Blush Bookstore

This darling romance bookstore is the newest (and cutest) shop in town! With lots of books and gifts for bookworms, you don’t want to miss it. They also frequently host super fun events!

Even with various locations throughout Wichita, it is hard to find new best sellers, but we never walk out of here empty-handed. I usually call ahead or else we will spend hours searching aimlessly for a book that I never knew I always wanted.
