It’s almost here! On Thursday, February 25 at Wichita’s Mid-America All-Indian Center, Wichita Moms Blog, in partnership with Genesis Health Clubs and Martin Pringle Attorneys at Law will host our first Moms Night Out event : WMB Birthday Bash!
This evening is sure to be a blast, and we want you have all the details for your night on the town.
Do I need a ticket for this event?
YES! We want this to be a quality experience for our guests, so there are a limited number of tickets. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time online. If you have not bought your ticket, you can do so HERE! THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
What can I expect?
Think of everything you could possibly want to do in a night out without kids – eating, drinking, shopping, pampering, laughing with your friends – we’re bringing it all together in one place.
Here’s a basic timeline of the event :
- The doors open at 7:00 pm, and we encourage you to stay until the party ends at 10:00 pm! When you arrive, the WMB team will get you checked in, hand you your swag bag, and send you on to the main event!
- At check-in, you will receive a swag bag with a few goodies in it, and you can collect additional swag throughout the evening as some of our sponsors will have items at their booths.
- Treat yourself to food, drinks, desserts, shopping, and pampering – all of our sponsors have fun reasons for you to visit their booths! And don’t forget to snap some photos at the Photo Booth, check out the Hashtag Printing station, and let loose on the dance floor with Black Tie Celebrations.
- At 8:00 we will cut the birthday cake, and giveaways will close at 9:15(we will draw the giveaway winners shortly after) You must be present to win our fabulous giveaway prizes, so don’t duck out early!
Where should I park?
There will be parking available in the Mid-America All-Indian Center’s parking lot, and overflow parking is available in the lot to the northwest of the Center (west of Seneca).
What should I bring?
Your ticket covers appetizers, desserts, 1 cotton candy martini, beer and frozen cocktail/mocktail samplings, 1 giveaway ticket, and activities. However, Xclusive Events will have a cash bar, and many of our vendors will have products available for purchase at their booths, so you will need to bring :
- Your ID
- A credit card or cash for shopping
- Healthy donations for our food drive (and extra giveaway entries!)
In support of American Heart Association, we are encouraging all attendees to bring at least one healthy food donation to be donated to Kansas Food Bank. Donations will be collected at check-in, and you will receive one additional giveaway ticket (maximum of 5 additional tickets) for each item you donate. Examples include :
What’s the deal with the giveaways?
Every mom will receive one raffle ticket upon entrance to the event, and there are two ways to receive additional giveaway tickets: 1). For every donated food item you bring, you will receive one giveaway ticket (maximum of 5 additional tickets) and 2). All guests will receive a party “map” at check in. By visiting each booth on the map and getting the vendors’ initials, you will earn 5 additional giveaway tickets! You will be able to view all giveaway packages at the event and decide in which jar to place your tickets. We will be drawing our lucky winners around 9:15pm- and you must be present to claim your prize!
What should I wear?
This is a fun and classy event, but whatever makes you most comfortable is what you should wear! Think about what you’d wear out to dinner with a group of girlfriends. And because it’s been asked, denim is more than welcome (much of our team will be in our go-to pair of jeans)!
What if I don’t know anyone?
The entire purpose of Wichita Moms Blog is to connect moms, and we love events because they allow us to do just that. Our contributor team will be at the event mingling in the crowd, and we would love to meet you! You won’t have any trouble spotting us because the whole team will be wearing gray Wichita Moms Blog t-shirts – just walk right up and say “hi”!
Safety first :
We also encourage you to be responsible with your transportation plans to and from the event. We want everyone to have a great time, but please have a designated driver or call a cab if you plan to enjoy a cocktail. Should you need a ride home, please let the WMB team know, and we’ll make sure you reach your destination safely.
