Spread Holiday Cheer with Santa, Elsa, and Anna at Stuff the Truck to Benefit Operation Holiday

HumanKind Ministries invites you to join Santa and the Frozen sisters for a family friendly night out at Clifton Square to benefit the region’s largest holiday assistance program, Operation Holiday!

Each year, HumanKind brings the community together to provide food, blankets, children’s coats, and more to the less fortunate through Operation Holiday. You can support this critical community program and enjoy an evening of holiday fun at Clifton Square as we Stuff the Truck with donations to support local individuals and families in need. Stuff the Truck will take place on Thursday, Dec. 2nd from 5:30-7:30pm at Clifton Square Village (Northeast corner).

Suggested donations of new or like-new children’s coats or monetary gifts will get you access to photos with Santa, crafts with Anna and Elsa, hot cocoa, and more.

Make a night of it by dining out at Ziggy’s Pizza or Dempsey’s Burger Pub then grab dessert and a hot drink at The No Bake Café, Papa General’s Store, or The Tea House, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to HK. Donors will also receive special discounts at select retailers.

Learn more and RSVP today on the Stuff the Truck Facebook event page.

Other Ways to Support Operation Holiday

  1. Give: monetary donations are most helpful as they allow HumanKind to purchase most-needed items at a nonprofit discount and in bulk. Make a donation today
  2. Host a Collection Drive: consider hosting a drive at your workplace, church, or other organization to gather new kid’s coats and winter accessories, new or handmade blankets, and more. Pick up boxes and flyers at the HK admin office during normal business hours (M-F, 8:30a-5p) or give them a call at 316-264-9303 to coordinate box delivery.
  3. Volunteer: give your time to support Operation Holiday as a group or individual. Opportunities include sorting donations at the warehouse, preparing boxes for distribution, and working the drive-thru distribution in mid-December. Learn more and sign up today.
  4. Pick up a few extra items during your grocery shop this Saturday, December 4 at Dillons Day of Giving: HK will be posted up at 6 Dillons locations so you can purchase the greatest food needs to support Operation Holiday. More details on the HK website.

For Those in Need of Assistance

Low-income individuals and families can apply for assistance through Operation Holiday now through Nov. 30 in one of three ways: easily apply online anytime; by phone at 316-777-6097, Mon-Fri, 9a-4p; or at select in-person locations.

Distribution will take place Wednesday, Dec. 15 through Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 in the parking lot northwest of HumanKind’s Operation Holiday warehouse, which is located in the former Sear’s Auto Center at Towne East (please note this new location).
