
Looking for where to pick berries in Wichita? Berry-picking season = making delicious memories! These are some favorite local spots where Wichita families can enjoy picking berries and making memories. (Note: some patches require reservations).
As a general rule, spring and early summer is when berries are ready for picking. First is strawberry season (typically May-June), blueberries, then blackberries (often into early July).

Where to Pick Berries in Wichita
Meadowlark Farm

Meadowlark is a pick your own peach and apple orchard, strawberry patch and cidery in Rose Hill with $5.50 pick your own pint for strawberries. You pick strawberries begin mid-May.
Sweet Berries & Brambles

While this patch is a little way out there, Sweet Berries and Brambles has more than 9,000 strawberry bushes and 1,000 blackberry bushes in Harper, KS. You Pick available by appointment only. Visit Sweet Berries & Brambles website.
Tenth Street Orchard

Located a bit over an hour outside of Wichita, Tenth Street Orchard in Sterling is a hidden gem that’s worth the drive!
Elderslie Farm

Blackberry picking typically starts in mid-June, but they have lots of other unique activities for your calendar, too! Consider farm-to-table meals, a visit to the Creamery, or breakfast at the Bramble Cafe.
Blackberry Heaven
Despite their name, in years past Blackberry Heaven has offered both blackberries and strawberries for picking. They expect berries to be ready the third week of June, but check their Facebook page for updates.

Sargeant's Berry Farm

Sargeant’s has a little bit of everything, including blackberries, strawberries, and sometimes peaches and sand plums! Please call before you go to get the latest hours and make sure there are berries available!
Janzen Ranch
Janzen Ranch celebrates their first blackberry season in 2022! Check their Facebook page for picking dates.
