5 Romantic Bed & Breakfast Getaways Close to Wichita

0
Recently, my husband and I celebrated our anniversary. We were looking for something quiet, sweet, and close to Wichita. After research and crowd-sourcing, I came up with a list of getaways for a weekend away with your sweetie.

Here are the Top 5 suggestions I received:

Clover Cliff Ranch Bed and Breakfast:  A one hour drive northeast of Wichita in Elmdale, nestled in the Flint Hills, this popular couples’ retreat offers luxe accommodations and outdoor activities around the property! Enjoy panoramic views of the rolling hills while you disconnect from daily life and reconnect with your SO.

Victorian Inn Bed and Breakfast: A short 1.5 hour drive from Wichita to Abilene is a historic Victorian home that hosts guests looking to refresh and restore. Stay in one of the several cushy suites and dine at the Inn’s parlor for breakfast.

Circle S Ranch & Country Inn:  This inn is just over 2 hours away near Lawrence and offers cozy suites coupled with plenty of outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and a spa to relax. They offer several stay packages to suit your needs such as wine and chocolate, spa treatments, dinner with cocktail or whiskey pairings.

Anderson Bed & Breakfast:  Located in Manhattan, just about 2 hours away. This getaway is for those who want to reconnect and also enjoy some city life. Stay here in one of the cozy rooms, enjoy the town close to campus, and a delicious breakfast in the morning.

Our choice . . .

The Historic Elgin Hotel:  Located just about an hour northeast of Wichita in Marion — this beautiful hotel is surely worth the visit. Prior to check-in, we chose to have a picnic lunch at Marion reservoir and a hike around the lake. We then checked in to relax before getting ready for dinner.

The Elgin Hotel has been a historical marker since the 19th century. It’s charming and offers several luxurious suites to choose from. The hotel features a restaurant and bar, serving up a delicious dinner and breakfast for guests the morning. This truly was a place to relax and reconnect. I highly recommend the Elgin Hotel for your next getaway with your partner!
