Kansas Lavender Farms & Festivals to Visit This Summer

At the mention of Kansas, sunflowers typically come to mind. But Kansas has a handful of lovely lavender farms worth a visit as well! Lavender is known for its relaxing scent and is often put in bath products due to its soothing effects. Lavender Farms in Kansas provide the best views in late spring and early summer, often the month of June but sometimes later depending on the weather.

Below are several farms to visit within a two and a half hour drive from Wichita. Some have open hours, most have gift shops, and a couple are known for their special annual events and festivals where you may visit their beautiful farms. 

Depending on part of town, drives are approximate. Additionally, farming conditions are dependent on so many variables, so check info before you go!

Gertie’s Lavender Farm | 8101 South Rayl Rd., Burrton, KS

Now closed to the public. Their products can be purchased at various markets in Lawrence KS.

Regarding visits to the farm, it is a small, family farm and hours sometimes change unexpectedly. They will post hours on their Facebook page – so be sure to check there before you visit.
